This will include presentations from community-based organizations, government agencies and human resource experts that are addressing domestic violence and intimate partner violence and bringing awareness and education to the mainstream society.

The sessions will focus on an array of topics that relate to supporting an individual or employee experiencing IPV including the policies, practices and services that relate to human resources or those providing a direct service to individuals in a domestic violence situation.
One of the 5 breakout sessions on 30th April conference schedule will focus on newcomers and immigrants – The session will feature Ijeoma Nwamuo Executive Director of International Women of Saskatoon as the speaker and is titled: ‘STOP Domestic Violence: a Case for Optimization and Improvement Strategies’.
