Embracing the Presence – Welcoming Week Art Show & Sale September 19, 2024 at TCU Place

In the vast expanse of our image-saturated world, certain visions remain conspicuously absent, revealing the gaps and silences that will persist in the narrative of contemporary visual art.
“Embracing the Presence” is an exhibition that aims to uncover these missing images, renewing narratives tied to culture, history and our world. This exhibition will create a space for dialogue, sharing, and the expression of struggles and solidarities among the artists who brought their experience, perspective and technique to the Saskatoon art scene.
With underrepresented stories and experiences of newcomers, we are aiming to cultivate memories, culture and history that cultivate Saskatoon as a welcoming community.
Embracing the Presence Invites Artists who are newcomers to express the collective meaning of a visual celebration of the beauty of gathering in Saskatchewan, Canada.
